吳菲 Wu Fei (3A) I believe that the power of speaking is mighty, it can inspire and supply people with positive energy. I hope some people will be influenced and change their unhealthy habits after listening to my speech. If more and more people choose having a green lifestyle, our Earth will become a more beautiful planet like what it was few hundred years ago. On the other hand, English speaking undoubtedly raises my confidence in using English and hopefully becomes a communicative tool for us to connect with others but not a hindrance.
黃鼎皓 Wong Ting Ho (3A) My expectation of this competition is to widen by horizon by experiencing speaking English publicly in a large-scale competition. It is also a precious chance to showcase my capability in using English. I predict that I can learn a lot by drafting my speech seriously, learning from bright students from other schools as well as sharpening my language skills. I will try my best to achieve my goals.
朱穎雯 Chu Wing Man (3C) Not until I joined the school's inter-class public speaking contest did I realize speaking is indeed a challenging yet rewarding process. I start to develop a belief that moving speeches should be delivered in a sentimental, purposeful, entertaining, affectionate, knowledgeable, inspirational, nostalgic and gracious manner. Though my tongue always got twisted in the middle of giving a speech, I am delighted by the excitement when interacting with the audience on the performing stage. I really hope to be a more fluent and competent language speaker as for me, having public speaking is as tempting as eating Godiva chocolates.
