雷逸璇 Lui Yat Suen (Form 5) I am always interested in languages as they are tools for communication. I hope to improve my speaking skills and learn more about giving speeches through this competition. I believe this competition would be beneficial to my English learning. Last but not least, I hope to widen my horizons and explore my own potential through joining competitions in different aspects.
伍詩雅 Ng Sze Nga (Form 4) Being inexperienced with public speaking, joining this contest is a massive challenge to me. I believe that the power of words – is unbounded, that people are able to change the world with a speech like Malala. Throughout the competition, I hope to find out more about how to write a persuasive speech and deliver it with confidence. It takes lots of effort to be a good speaker but the competition is definitely worth attempting, which allows me to polish my English speaking skills on an alternative platform. It would be an exhilarating and rewarding experience.
何楗韜 Chris Ho (Form 5) Watching public speaking contests as well as politicians giving speeches is a pleasant experience, and that led me to think: How would I do if I were to join a public speaking contest? That's when my teacher showed me this contest. I do appreciate this opportunity to expose myself more to public speaking. As an assertive student who has been engaging myself in debating for years, I always regard giving speeches as valuable experiences. Therefore, I look forward to this contest as a rewarding one. |
